I have Nero 7 and every time I try to record using the Wave Editor, I get no sound from my speakers (can't monitor) and it seems no signal being recorded. Do I need to use Sound Trax instead?
What are you trying to record from-cassette,lp,fm in analog? If from these you need to plug the input in the input or the microphone jacks on the sound card and also set the appropriate slider switch in the sound card Double click the speaker icon lower right corner. Select properties>mixer device>what ever your card's audio input>check show the line input or other volume controls and then you should be hearing what's playing thru the line input of the sound card. You can also do it easier with Audacity (free) and it will record what's playing thru your pc speakers but you have to have what you're trying to record set up correctly also.
