I apologize if I am not in right area of forum, or if perhaps in wrong forum as well. I am at my wits ends here. Spent hours trying to find out what to do. My PC crashed and I am trying to reinstall my DVD X COPY GOLD. In information I have found, I read where the company is no longer around, which might explain why I got emails back, phone numbers not available anymore with them. Even got to one number and it reffered me to a male phone chat place. Would have been ok perhaps if I was a male. Is there anyone out there that can help me? I not only have the program but bought another for my daughter who hasn't even got hers installed ever. Still in shrink wrap. Karen

Thank you for you fast reply, believe it or not I was in the site you mentioned, and did all I could do to retrieve this so called ticket to be able to reinstall my software. I never recieved an email back. Maybe I am in too big of a hurry, but I am so flustered. As for the sites you mentioned, have no addy for them. Is it against the forum rules to tell me what they are, if not would appreciate the info. Wish I could give you my email but I think that is not proper to do. Karen

DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter are two free programs that will rip, compress and burn your movie. They are available at

    http://www.filepedia.com

look under rippers. There are guides that are availble at

    http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/guides.htm

    http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/petesguide3.html

These are excellent guides and explain the process. Download the programs and if you have questions come on back and they will be answered. I have DVDXcopy it was what I started out burning with, but the program is old and will not handle newer encryptions. These are excellent programs and free and do the job well.

Well Xcopy is still being sold, now an international company, but the prog is is over 90.00 and you might as well learn the free ones, they may appear harder but they are not and they are a lot more versatile, hope it works out. Like I said come on back we are all here to help :~)
