Capacitor question?

    Ok i needed a replacement for a 220uf 25V capacitor but when i went to radioshark for one the closes thing they had was a 220uf 35V capacitor will that work even that it has 10 extra volts?

    35v is alright to use.

    yeah the voltage rating on capacitors is the voltage that the capacitor can support up to. so having one that can accept higher voltage will work the exact same as one with a lower voltage rating
