Capture Audio from MAME Roms ?

Hi - I've looked for a post on this and couldn't find any help - so I thought it might merit a new post....

What I am looking for is a utility that will enable me to record the audio from MAME into .wav or midi files.

Is this possible? Is there a util that allows capture of any sound played through my PC?

Any help would be appreciated

or you could use advance mp3/wma recorder then use advance mp3 to wav recorder to change it to wav and get better quality and it doesn't take a hole lot of processor speed and memory to run

Audacity worked no problems. Recording was very quiet - but then I discovered all the amplify/noise reduction, etc tools.

So I am delighted that I finally got it sorted!

Thanks to johnoddd4 for replying too - I went for the easiest option.
