I just finished transferring all my vhs tapes to dvd and doing so I saw some dear family members that are no longer alive. Is there an easy, cheap way to capture a frame from these home movies to a jpg or bmp so that I can print the picture?

if you run your finish project through tmpgenc dvd author you can see each frame. Its rather simple to use a screen capture tool like snagit7 (part of tech smiths camtasia studio) to capture that frame when it is shown within the viewing window.

heres a link to a trial version that you can try

    http://www.techsmith.com/snagit.asp
