    Hi all,

I'm editing some footage of mine that I captured off my Mini DV camcorder. I am using Pinnacle to edit the video but the second half of my video footage doesnt have sound.....or so it seems.....

When I have been playing back some of the clips whilst editing I get a split second of sound at the beginning then its gone.

I captured an entire mini DV tape in one large AVI file. I have done this before and not encountered any issues with sound. (would I have been better off capturing in mpeg as it seems that no real quality is lost and the file sizes are a lot smaller?)

If anyone could shed some light on this then that would be great :)

(By the way I unfortunately taped over the original tape so I cant capture it again!)
