I use Nero 7 Ultra and cannot get the video capturing device to recognize that I am using Dazzle DVC170 (attached to my VHS). What do I need to do?
I keep getting the message that the Dazzle DVC170 was tested on an older version, and it is recommended that I test it again. So, I test it again. Then nothing happens. I cannot get the "record" button to be enabled.

    Hi...
From what I can gather, Dazzle DVC170 only works with Pinnacle Software...
You could try uLead DVD Factory, tho... It has served me well with many different capture devices...

It is indeed best to use the capture software designed for your card.

I don't know about that... I have a Pinnacle card (TV Board) that I use on my daughter's PC to let her watch TV in her room... I have never liked the software that came with it... Same applies to the Hauppenhaugh (<---Is that spelled right?) and the USB Dongle I bought for 8mm capture... I use uLead for Analogue and Sony for Digital capture on All Occations... Having said that, it was a uLead product bundled with the USB Dongle, however uLead Suites are worth buying...
