I was thinking about putting green or red led lights in the underdash of my car.

    Is this lame? lol

I know most people don't like underglow underneith cars anymore.

and I'm going to do it no matter what because I will like the look, I was just looking for a few opionions on this.

Personally? I would not do it...but I don't do much to my car that does not have to do with performance or audio.

I would go with cold cathode if I did it...LEDs make a lot of heat, and don't make a whole lot of light unless you use a lot of them.

Also, they make kits that will vary the light intensity with the music...again, not my thing, but some people will think it is really kewl to have the lights flashing in time with the bass.

Thanks alot for your opinion, that actually helped alot.

I was thinking about maybe installing a light blue cold cathode in the trunk of my car to accentuate the subs and amp I will be buying.

I can only find cold cathodes for cpu but it should be an easy mod to get them running from a 12volt power source in my car.

Does anyone know where is the best place to hook them up to a 12 volt source?
