Hi all senior memebers I've recently purchased the starview PVR box. I've now upgraded the firmware to 4.5 having upgraded from ver4.0 but I can't seem to bring up the CAS Menu. I've tried imputting in "2004" in the Parental Control menu. I've tried the "1570" entry in the main menu after having come out from an encrypted channel, but still no luck. What am I doing wrong? I understand too that the emu settings etc are the next step but it's the CAS menu that's alluding me. Any ideas? Your help will be greatly appreciated. A big thank you in advance!! ogni
BEFORE PRESSING THE 2004 MAKE SURE YOUR PRESSING INFO ON YOUR REMOTE FIRST THIS SHOULD OPEN UP THE CAS MENU THEN AS YOU SAY JUST TURN ON THE EMU AND ALL SHOULD BE OK.
hey there Thanks for your reply. Still no luck. I press menu, scroll down to "System Setup", Press ok. This brings up the "System Setup" dialog window. Parental Control is at the top, I press ok. This brings up the Parental Control window. I press "i" then 2004... Nothing. When on the Main menu screen, selecting "1570" then "ok" does nothing either. I'm sure my remote is ok because the numbers pressed for channel selection reflect what I'm pressing... I've tried keeping the "i" button down then pressing 2004. Ive reset to factory defaults, rescanned the channels. It picks them all up fine, those with the $ signs etc, that's all ok. Running ver 4.5 too. STARVIEW_H20070607_400eE_api.bin The CAS screen is still hidden. It's obvious my combinations of button pushing is wrong.. thanks again..Any ideas? ogni
