There are so many cases out there its hard to pick a good one, especially when I dont know which options are better and which ones dont really mean anything. power supply mounting? some are on the top and some are on the bottom, other then lower center of gravity is there any real advantage of a bottom mount ps? The system Im building is for my wife, not much gaming if any, more for things like quickbooks, ms office, surfing net, dvd burns etc so far I have: corsair ps 4 gigs ocz memory I have allot of good things about the NZXT Apollo case Any thoughts about this case? They say it cools well and is fairly quiet. Im looking for quiet atec 300 seems nice but i thinks its loud with fewer option the nzxt probably going to finish the sys off with an Intel Q9550 and some type of gygabyte mobo w/ a mid level ati card, no overclocking Any suggestion on a case would be greatly appreciated, looking for quiet, good cooling tx Ken
If you not going to be using it for anything that requires heavy CPU loads or a lot of reading/writing to disk, then heat will probably not be an issue for you. So my advice is to find a good cheap one, from a trusting site, and good reviews by customers that own one. I just bought a couple of cases myself, but I went with an all aluminum on both. Heat is a problem for me..but I really use the crap out of my PCs..lol.
I tried to reply to this last night, but the forums were down... I'd go with the Apollo if you want quiet. The Antec Three Hundred is an excellent cheap case for cooling, but won't do too well for noise. The NZXT on the other hand is very quiet, but cooled well enough for a powerful system.
