I am not really a newbie, have been ripping for a few years. Never had this problem ever. I am trying to rip Casino with Robert De Niro Its the Anniversary Edition. I thought maybe it was the dvd, so i took it back and got another and it still does it. I am using a Toshiba dvd burner. Once I load the dvd into the recorder all it does is spin and try to read it, and that is all it does, the blinking light just keeps blinking on the drive. Does not acknowledge that the dvd is in the drive. So I cannot rip it. It only does it with this dvd. I tried other dvd's and the drive works fine. Anyone have any idea to help me.

yes it will play in a standard dvd player. Its a rental. I took the first rental back, because it was a little scratched. This one is better. It just won't be recognized inside the drive for some reason. Its the only dvd that will do that, since I have been burning for 2 years now. Can't figure it out.
