I want to use my AIWA dual cassette, USB it to my computer to store and use my old cassettes. I have an older version of Dazzle, but that's about it. How do I get the sound from my AIWA into my computer? Can anyone help with this?

Audacity is a good option Roxio is another. You need audio capture software that can convert an analog signal 'piped into your sound card into digital. SOP is to save it as a wave file. Then you can clean it up if need be (I do not, cleaning loses too much for me. I do not mind the tell-tail hiss, you can tell it was captured music. ). Then you can use your favorite encoder to compress the wav file into your favorite format.

If you wish to get a bargain, check eBay for old software copies. They haven't come out with anything valuable in years. I bought Roxio three years out of date for $15 1-2 years ago. It had all the features that are important. It chops wave files as it 'hears' tune changes or long pauses in the music. That and a paid for connection to tag data are the only real useful advances they have made this century.

If you have a Nero Suite version 6 7 or 8 then their Nero WAV editor will do the trick. I used EZ CD creator's audio program to get vinyl to cds.
