I tried to use my CD drive and it did not work, so I tried the DVD Drive, well it was also gone.
Then, I use the troubleshooter with no avail.
Ok, then I uninstall one of the drives, I restart the machine (reboot it) and window xp pro reinstall the drivers but found no device (code 41).
The device and the cables are all properly secure. What's wrong?
    ?

Hi Ken-919, thanks for the link that you send me.
The link did not solve the problem by itself, but it lead to me to experiment with a couple error messages in that site.
Well, I went to the registry editor and deleted the high and low filter. I rebooted the system and ….. There they were! The two drives in My Computer again.
However, my burning program (Record Now, from Sonic) could not see the drives. I got a patch, I downloaded, I rebooted again and everything is fine.
Again, ken-919 thanks for the link (I already put it in My Favorites).
    Oscar.
