Hi, Recently I backed up my My Documents with some dvd roms using Nero BackItUp (I have nero essentials). After the burning process completed I tried to access my game (Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne) however it could not load. Whenever I put a cd in the drive the computer does not load any applications until I have taken the cd out again. The only files that I have fully been able to access are the backup dvds. I have tried uninstalling the drive and that didn't work, i've cleaned the cd drive out as well.
Did you try uninstalling the controller that the drive is attached to? Alternatively, go to the drive properties and select the 'Recording' tab and turn off 'enable cd recording on this drive' - reboot and turn it on again.
