It just dawned on me that my old cd/dvd dl burner and dvd rom may not work with the new Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6 motherboard & new build. Excuse my ignorance but the old burners don't have sata connections.
While I'm waiting for the new mob to arrive, do I need to order new burners? If so, what would be the best and most reliable ones (or combos)to order? I burn dvds+dl & cds on my old system (I print my labels & don't need lightscribe). What do I need? what do you guys use? I don't want to get a blueray burner yet until the prices come down. Thanks in advance

The X48-DQ6 has one IDE port, so you can still atach up to 2 IDE devices.
