Hi guys I do have also and don't know how to correct it. Yesterday I just burn a single ISO CD with Nero...after that the program would just fail... I thought..that I have contacted a virus somewhere in the web and run all the things that I can to eliminate it... but still when I write a CD it will fail after 1 to 2% I don't know why??? Yesterday it was just fine... And after that a message that will come out saying : Error 1316 SCSI command aborted. Then my ASPI driver won't function... but I corrected it by using FORCEASPI and when I tried to burn a CD >>NO SUCCESS<< This is the Aspichk image since i chk mine: And when I open my Nero I burn it...and this is the image: The log is: Windows XP 5.1 IA32 WinAspi: File 'Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=4.60 (1021), size=45056 bytes, created 9/10/1999 12:06:00 PM ahead WinASPI: File 'Crogram FilesaheadNeroWnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.59, size=160016 bytes, created 12/16/2003 8:18:06 PM Nero version: 6.3.1.17 Recorder: <CyberDrv CW078D CD-R/RW> Version: 130D - HA 1 TA 0 - 6.3.1.17 Adapter driver: <atapi> HA 1 Drive buffer : 2048kB Bus Type : default (0) -> ATAPI, detected: ATAPI CD-ROM: <HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8161B>Version: 0102 - HA 0 TA 1 - 6.3.1.17 Adapter driver: <atapi> HA 0 === Scsi-Device-Map === DiskPeripheral : Maxtor 2F040L0 atapi Port 0 ID 0 DMA: On CdRomPeripheral : HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8161B atapi Port 0 ID 1 DMA: On CdRomPeripheral : CyberDrv CW078D CD-R/RW atapi Port 1 ID 0 DMA: On === CDRom-Device-Map === HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8161 E: CDRom0 CyberDrv CW078D CD-R/RW D: CDRom1 ======================= AutoRun : 1 Excluded drive IDs: WriteBufferSize: 19922944 (0) Byte ShowDrvBufStat : 0 BUFE : 0 Physical memory : 95MB (97776kB) Free physical memory: 13MB (13884kB) Memory in use : 85 % Uncached PFiles: 0x0 Use Static Write Speed Table: 0 Use Inquiry : 1 Global Bus Type: default (0) Check supported media : Disabled (0) 31.7.2004 CD-ROM (ISO) 7:15:54 AM #1 Text 0 File Isodoc.cpp, Line 6065 Iso document burn settings ------------------------------------------ Determine maximum speed : FALSE Simulate : FALSE Write : TRUE Finalize CD : TRUE Multisession : FALSE Burning mode : DAO Mode : 1 ISO Level : 1 (Max. of 11 = 8 + 3 char) Character set : ISO 9660 Joliet : TRUE Allow pathdepth more than 8 directories : TRUE Allow more than 255 characters in path : TRUE Write ISO9660 ;1 file extensions : TRUE 7:15:54 AM #2 Phase 88 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1845 ExacLink activated 7:15:55 AM #3 Text 0 File Reader.cpp, Line 118 Reader running 7:15:55 AM #4 Text 0 File Writer.cpp, Line 124 Writer CyberDrv CW078D CD-R/RW running 7:15:55 AM #5 ISO9660GEN -11 File geniso.cpp, Line 3899 First writeable address = 0 (0x00000000) 7:15:55 AM #6 Text 0 File Burncd.cpp, Line 3172 Turn on Disc-at-once, using CD-R/RW media 7:16:15 AM #7 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 245 Last possible write address on media: 359846 ( 79:59.71) Last address to be written: 358502 ( 79:42.02) 7:16:15 AM #8 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 257 Write in overburning mode: NO (enabled: CD) 7:16:15 AM #9 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 2137 Recorder: CyberDrv CW078D CD-R/RW; CDR code: 00 97 27 06; OSJ entry from: DIGITAL STORAGE TECHNOLOGY CO.,LTD ATIP Data: Special Info [hex] 1: D0 00 A0, 2: 61 1B 06 (LI 97:27.06), 3: 4F 3B 48 (LO 79:59.72) Additional Info [hex] 1: 00 00 00 (invalid), 2: 00 00 00 (invalid), 3: 00 00 00 (invalid) 7:16:15 AM #10 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 418 >>> Protocol of DlgWaitCD activities: <<< ========================================= Insert empty disc to write to. Didn't read your whole log transcript there, but I experienced the same problem once. Maybe this is not the same solution, but what I realized was that one of my two internal hard drive partitions had the DMA-access (the C: Drive) turned off (which I figured out was a bug related to some other software). that caused the hard drive to run extremely slow and eventually, I think, aborting burning the CD. You can check the DMA setting under SYSTEM SETTINGS -> SYSTEM -> then click the HARDWARE button -> and then the HARDWARE MANAGER thing -> and finally click the IDE ATA-devices and then one of the menubuttons to check DMA-setting. It should say "ultra" or something. NOT "PIO"... I don't know... what I did was then was test burning data from my D: partition and it all went fine compared to the C: drive and so I figured out I had to reinstall XP to manage to re-set the DMA-setting. But the problem was similar to your. If you experienced some genereal slowness to the drive from which you are burning the CD then this might be the problem.
Tnx on your reply... even me myself can't expect this to happen... before it happened...i was about finished burning 1 CD and the next is the FAILED one! So what I did... I tried to Re-format & Re-install the XP in my PC and tried to write again... but still no success... so finally what I did is that, I went to my friend and borrowed his Internal LG CD-RW and install it to my PC... and tried it if it will burn a CD... and gues what???!!!! It did burn a CD! What do you think is the cause??!! Is it my CyberDrive CD-RW or my PC or my SOftware :???: What do you think?
hi, nah then I really don't know either. since you reinstalled Windows I guess it have to be hardware failure then... try burning CDs from some different brands to check that your drive don't have problems with som low-quality discs or something? sorry. good luck.
