Hi guys I do have also and don't know how to correct it. Yesterday I just burn a single ISO CD with Nero...after that the program would just fail... I thought..that I have contacted a virus somewhere in the web and run all the things that I can to eliminate it... but still when I write a CD it will fail after 1 to 2% I don't know why??? Yesterday it was just fine... And after that a message that will come out saying : Error 1316 SCSI command aborted. Then my ASPI driver won't function... but I corrected it by using FORCEASPI and when I tried to burn a CD :( >>NO SUCCESS<<
This is the Aspichk image since i chk mine:

And when I open my Nero I burn it...and this is the image:

Didn't read your whole log transcript there, but I experienced the same problem once. Maybe this is not the same solution, but what I realized was that one of my two internal hard drive partitions had the DMA-access (the C: Drive) turned off (which I figured out was a bug related to some other software). that caused the hard drive to run extremely slow and eventually, I think, aborting burning the CD.

You can check the DMA setting under SYSTEM SETTINGS -> SYSTEM -> then click the HARDWARE button -> and then the HARDWARE MANAGER thing -> and finally click the IDE ATA-devices and then one of the menubuttons to check DMA-setting. It should say "ultra" or something. NOT "PIO"...

I don't know... what I did was then was test burning data from my D: partition and it all went fine compared to the C: drive and so I figured out I had to reinstall XP to manage to re-set the DMA-setting.

But the problem was similar to your. If you experienced some genereal slowness to the drive from which you are burning the CD then this might be the problem.

Tnx on your reply... even me myself can't expect this to happen... before it happened...i was about finished burning 1 CD and the next is the FAILED one! So what I did... I tried to Re-format & Re-install the XP in my PC and tried to write again... but still no success... so finally what I did is that, I went to my friend and borrowed his Internal LG CD-RW and install it to my PC... and tried it if it will burn a CD... and gues what???!!!! It did burn a CD! What do you think is the cause??!! Is it my CyberDrive CD-RW or my PC or my SOftware :???:

    What do you think?

hi, nah then I really don't know either. since you reinstalled Windows I guess it have to be hardware failure then... try burning CDs from some different brands to check that your drive don't have problems with som low-quality discs or something? sorry. good luck.
