Now that this marvelous site has taught me how to backup my movies I would like to print out a nice looking label that looks similar to the original. Would anyone know where I can download movie labels for printing?

Just curious, but if you are backing up your own movies wouldn't you just scan the original cover??

Also, myself and many other members on this site have found that applying adhesive labels to DVD-Rs causes playback errors.
However, the only way to know for sure is to try it yourself....

Scanning the original covers can be a real pain in the ass if:

    (a) You have a useless scanner and software package
    (b) You Dont have a Scanner
    (c) You are lazy like me and always take the easy way out

yeah its so much easier to just to download them rather than having to scan them....some they dont have and in those cases you just scan them, if you do, upload them to the site...

Another reason I download the covers; sometimes the ones we get here in Canada have everything in French and English. If I download the UK one it's all in English, and often the cover art is done a lot nicer.

If you are thinking about DVD labelling you might want to check out this thread first:

Make sure to read the posts on the second page by digger which seem to explain the potential problems pretty well.

hmm, after reading that thread, Vurbal, I'm discouraged to do it now. It's interesting the issues they've experienced only by putting a label on a cd. It's surprising. Thanks for helping me out.

Use the inner labels that DVD rental companies sometimes put on their discs. They should be ok, but stay away from CD labels!!
