I tried writing a CD in my new Packard Bell computer sometime ago and I tried sticking that CD in my old 486 computer and it wouldn't read it. What could be the problem because that is why I bought the CD writer in the first place...so I could transfer information and programs from my new computer to the old.

The reading CD-ROM is broken? Or it might not recognize the CDs if you've burned the with fast speed -- try to slow the burning to 2x or so.

Ok, so how do I delete the files that I wrote to my CD and start all over again?

Eh? CD-Rs are use-once type of media -- get a new blank CD, they cost like 20c each or less.
