Some older burners have difficulty reading newer CDRW discs

so when you say you are using the same media. is it the same speed? media vendors change their dye change their manufacturing plant without your knowledge. EVERY cdrw vendor except taiyo uden has their media made by a third party meaning one batch could be made at a different plant than the last you bought. that said most times this happens because media speed has changed. try updating your burners firmware that often solves it. if not well then try contacting the manufacturer of your burner for a solution. chances are you just need a firware upgrade.
or look for the older speed media you used to use if that is the case.

remember when mitsui cd-r's used to have the word mitsui written right on the hub of the disk? now they don't, ever wonder why. now they say MAM-A(mitsui advanced media-america), which is a subsidiary of computer suppout italcard (CSI) of Milan Italy. they also have a plant in Colorado Springs Colorado. no longer owned by Mitsui & Co LTD.
