My computer freezes while burning an audio cd using CDBurnerXP Pro software (replacing Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum) with a Sony CD-RW CRX210E1. The OS is XP Pro. The computer freezes at 9% completion with 47520 blocks. I have no idea what this means but I hope it's helps in the diagnosis of my problem. I've got 2 cd-r drives. The other is not used for burning and is a 4x speed. Something tells me the data is not being completely transferred. Any suggestions? Additionally I took a look at my drives and I seem to have more than I need. Any suggestions? Thanks
Try burnatonce (freebie) as an alternative. Disable any antivirus while burning and try different brand name media if the problem persists. burnatonce http://www.burnatonce.com/downloads/ _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Afterdawn forum rules http://www.afterdawn.com/general/legal.cfm Please see our guides before posting http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/[/small]
I took the advice and the computer froze from the begining of the burning processusing burnatonce software. I turned off all background programs as suggested. Could there be something wrong with the accesss and flow of information between the cd_r and the computer? Thanks
The CD-R drive plays audio cds and my daughter's kid pix program functions properly. Could there be too many installed drives or perhaps the registry is screwed up? Like I stated before I never had a problem with Easy CD Creator. Perhaps I deleted an important file using spybot? I have a gut feeling the solution is simple. It's the diagnosis that's a problem. Thanks.
