hi, i can't seem to burn new files on to my cd-rw disc. And when i try to delete files from it, a message comes up saying that it's read-only and can't delete or copy any files to this disc. What do i do?

Use Nero to erase the data on a CD-RW. BTW what brand of CD-RW is it?

i use nero and i was looking through explorer as Dude2099 correctly guessed but i can't erase the cd data ite says power calibration error and i've updated firmware.
    edit: it's a maxell cd-rw.
I tried writing on a verbatim cd-rw that's empty but it says burn process failed at whatever speed e.g burn process failed at 2* speed connection.

can you try the drive on another computer to see if does same thing or not as trying to see if hardware or software problem.

probably a silly question but have you burned a dvd or cd recently and what media did you use if you have.

When you go to burn it asks if you want it multisession, you can select start multisession disc, continue multisession disc or no multisession (finalized). So if you burnt your disc the first time with start multisession disc, the next time you want to add to it go to continue multisession and it will display the files on the disk which then you can add to or delete. When creating a multisession disk it takes up about 14meg of space. :)

PS The files arent actually deleted there just not accessable. :-(
