I have a problem with my CD-RW it reads the source media with out a hitch but as soon as I insert the blank media it will burn til roughly 4% each time and freezes on me. I am running xp with nero 5 as my burning program. Any suggestions on a solution would be appreciated
Try to flash the firmware for your burner. go to the manufacturer's website, and download the latest firmware for your device. Also make sure you are using a cd format compatible with your burner +- etc.
has nero 5 worked on your xp before properly. i think you might have a better chance with nero 6 in xp
Thanks for your input everyone nero 5 was working on my computer with xp but decided to upgrade to nero 6.6 and it has solved the problem...so thanks again for your help.
