CD-RW Won't play in car

I made some music CD-RW cd's for my brother, they play fine in my car but won't play in his ?

Have you tried burning the same compilation to a CD-R (not re-writable) disc? Chances are that your brothers player doesn't/can't recognise the re-writable format.

 

Your probley right Onya, i was hoping this wasnt the case because i made so many with -RW and i have more RW blanks

CR-W doesnt play either, wonder if there is a way to find what will play in certain model cars

Did you mean CD-R? Use a quality brand of disc and burn at half it's rated speed. Depending on the age of the in-car player, it may well be overdue for a lens clean also.

It's not my car so i am not sure if it's dirty, it is in a 2001, i am using BurnOn and there is no option to change burn speed, i am using Maxell disks

This is solved, i burned at a slower speed from 48 to 16, worked great
