I've burned some downloaded tracks onto cd and when the disc is played the tracks can be played ok, but I cannot isolate any of the tracks to play in any order or by themselves, I'm not sure what I have or haven't done, any ideas?

it sounds like, in effect, the tracks have been burnt as one track, rather than individual tracks. What software did you use for loading the tracks and then burning?

I'm now out of my depth because I have a MAC with Toast and Jam. Does Nero have as part of its CD making some way of dragging, one by one, the tracks to make up your new CD, to adjust the silent lead-in to each track, the volume of each track, or the whole CD, and to save this so that at any time you could re-arrange or make changes in the order, the volume of any track, take out and substitute a different track etc etc?? (This means each track is separate, and can be selected/skipped as you play the CD on your player.)
This is done in Jam, and what has been assembled can be burned on the spot with Toast. Doesn't Nero documentation tell you how to construct a new CD similar to what I've just described?
