i have ripped and burned one of my dvd's on to my hdd and burned it to a CDR and when i put it in my emerson EWD2004 model dvd payer it says a disk is not inserted...but the website says it plays CDR's and CDRW'S i used this guide for the movie mad city http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/dvd2vc
Have you tried the disc you made in a different player, likewise have you tried a cdr like an audio cd in you new one? To eliminate either aspect of your problem.
it plays audio cd's and MP3 files...i tryed it in my freinds dvd it started up but then closed and went back tot eh blue screen and when i pushed play it flickered and went back
