Hi, I use CDex Version 1.51 to convert my Audio CD songs to mp3 format, when i play my converted mp3 song it's so soft compared to the cd, meaning the music its not that loud compared with the CD i play. Is there something i miss??? Cheers
try using EAC (exact audio copy) rather than CDex. Its much better. We have a guide here on how to install and use it: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/mydeneaclame.cfm
Sorry after converting from CD to mp3 and this thing just pop up "LAME version 3.96.1 (http://lame.sourceforge.net/) CPU features: MMX (ASM used), 3DNow! Can i bypass it??? Cheers
Ok what is the best setting for mp3??? I just think its long just to convert 1 song to mp3...it take around 3 mins...is that nomral ??? Cheers
yeah 3 mins per song is about average, though it all depends on your system. VBR 192 or VBR 256 is the best setting. make sure this setting is in place: EAC > EAC Options. CLick tools tab. Make sure "On extraction, start external compressors queued in background" is checked. That way it will start compression while the CD is ripping and goes quicker. It takes about 20 to 30 mins to rip and encode a audio CD, but trust me it is worth it. Its the best quality you can get. EAC is the only ripper with error correction to ensure a 100% accurate rip, and external LAME is hands down the best mp3 encoder there is.
