Hello everyone. I wondered if I should get CDRs made from Japan although I wouldn't know whose the manufacturer. I wanted to know if the CDR brands are made from Japan, would they have a good manufacturer such as taiyo yuden and others people claimed on this site. By the way, I bought my verbatims and accidently picked one up that was made in India. I used nero and found out that it was made by Moser Baur India. Let me know if this is a good manufacturer in the league of taiyo yuden or crappy quality in CMC. Also the verbatims are not AZO. I usually get AZO verbatims but the stores around my area stop carrying them. The only two CDR brands I found around my area that are made in Japan was Maxell Professional Quality and FujiFilm. Please note that I don't buy stuff online. As of another note, I checked "summary of CDR brands" post in this forum and I didn't see FujiFilm brand. I wouldn't know if it would be good quality. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Moser Baer is garbage like CMC. I got some Moser Baer Memeorex as a gift for Xmas and found them prone to errors.

It seems many of the "branded" manufacturers (those that buy from others and label them as their own) have been going cheap lately.

Maxell and Fuji should be good makes. Try buying just a few of each for testing before getting a whole mess of them :)

The Verbatim Data Life + I buy made in India and Taiwan are Mitsubishi long-dye strategy. Verbatim DL+ made in Japan are TY. Fuji Film Japan are high quality TY. I've never had a coaster with Verbatim or Fuji.
