    Hi,
I've recently installed a chameleon chip with the solderless adaptor. The LED blinks blue, but there is no text on screen, it's just some scrambled white lines. I've tried a composite, svideo and component hookup and it doesn't make any difference. I went ahead and tried what the manual said, which was to wait 60 seconds or so then insert a CD with the rom on it. I tried the Slayer's 2.5 cd. I thought the chameleon's came preloaded with the cromwell bios, but should I try doing that instead?
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm not quite sure what to try next.

Oh, I have a 1.1 xbox, and if I pull out the chameleon chip the xbox still works.

    Thanks

Double check your connection with the solderless adapter and the motherboard.
And make sure your using the original Xbox A/V wires.

I created a DVDR with a 50meg DUMMY.BIN, and the X2_4979 BIOS named LINUXBIO.BIN and used that. It flashed the chip and shut-down the xbox. After I turned it back on, the video came up fine, and I proceeded to install the Slayer's CD. The video never showed up during the flashing process but it looks like it did what it was supposed to. Everything appears to work now.
    Thanks for the response.
