hi i have a VOB file which i am working on joining to another (thats not a problem). My problem is that one VOB has the 5.1 audio on 0x80 ID and the other VOB has it on 0X81.

What can i do to make sure the final DVD i create will use the 0x80. In essence what I am trying to do is fool the VOB in to thinking the stream exists at 0x80 instead of 81. I've tried ifoedit, vobedit etc. demux, remuxed etc. maybe I'm just missing a vital step somewhere.

please help. I need to get this video out soon. (it's a compilation of homemade school videos.

You can demux with DGIndex and then either author each one as a separate DVD before joining or use an MPEG editor to join them before authoring. VideoReDo could join them for you, but it doesn't read elementary streams so you'd need to re-mux into MPEG program files first. You can do this with Imago MPEG muxer.

DGIndex and Imago are free and VideoReDo has a fully functional free trial.
