    Hi there.

I backed up one of my DVDs to AVI format and the audio is AC3, now to play it on my portable Archos 504 player I have to convert the audio to a supported format such as MP3/WAV etc.

Now, I have extracted the audio from the AVI and saved it as a .WAV file, now all I need is a way to inject the WAV audio and overwrite the AC3 audio.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Open your AVI in VirtualDub and then go to Audio>WAV audio and browse to where your WAV file is located and open it. Select Audio>Full Processing Mode then Audio>Compression and choose your compression. Make sure you have Video>Direct Stream Copy selected and then File>Save as AVI.

By the way, you're better converting the WAV to mp3 as it will be a much smaller size.
