Is there any way to change the book type on Nero Burning Rom v6? I have a Toshiba SD-V280 that I'd like to play DVD+R's on, but I guess it only supports DVD-R.

    Thanks,

I read that already. If you scroll down, they mention that DVD+R plays great, but only with the DVD-ROM bitsettings. So far Nero 6 is burning with DVD+R bitsettings, which that particular player can't play. In the old Nero versions, you could change the book type to DVD-ROM, but I've been unsuccessful at finding that setting in the new version.

Record Now Max did the same thing. Any options I can try with either program to change the bitsettings to DVD ROM instead of DVR?

If you load up Nero with the DVD section, the very first option is DVD-ROM (ISO)

I tried it under that setting and it didn't work. According to Chris McCann's site, it has to have the UDF in order for DVD players to read it.

    Anyone else have any suggestions?

Its not that it has to be UDF, its that it will support the vast majority of DVD players if it is. It may come down to it that your DVD player is just not compatible with Back ups.

    H-town,
Have you been able to play DVD-r or +r in the past? From your first question that seem to be the case as you comment on the old Nero version. If the old nero version worked, then it may be best to go back to using it. Or you could also try Roxio6 (Easy CD creator DVD 6) its straigt forward. But your DVD players needs to support the -/+R format, as it using Track at once and NOT disc at once to burn a DVD.
