ok with my sony dcr dvd 106e i am recording movie on to the internal disc then connect the usb up to my pc and the internal dvd folder pops up on my screen containing 3 files VR_MANGR.IFO VR_MANGR.BUP VR_MOVIE.VRO i copy them to my hard disc they act much like a dvd what i want to know is .......can i get the cam recorder to give my avi's instead or...... how do i get dvd decrypter to read from the folder i saved the sony dvd files in so i can then change the dvd into avi by other methods thanks
Copy VR_MOVIE.VRO to the HDD. Rename VR_MOVIE.VRO to VR_MOVIE.VRO.mpg Your media player should accept and play it ok. Load the .mpg into AutoGK and convert to avi.
thanks just tryed that file wont play and wont import into premier which is what i want it to do ....dare i say it i think sony have it wrapped up with this little cam recorder and would rather that any editing was done on the cam it self and the output files cannot be modded
If you finalize the disk in the camcorder, load it into the PC, copy the main DVD_RTAV folder onto the HDD will Premier open it.
sorted done it as was told finalized in cam copyed large file to dard disc renamed to mpg loaded into agk softwear got an avi and YES it's now loaded into premier seem's good to me thanks guys
yeah nothing would open the finalized files from the cam recorder except for a dvd player but sorted now
You need to change how you are recording video, on your camcorder. .vro is not the way to go. I forget what the other setting is, for a miniDVD camcorder, but that other one is the one you should be using. Edit: Use Video mode.
Want rip movies from DVD?Usually it got CSS protection~And this tutorial will show you how to do it: How to rip/copy DVD to all sorts of video and audio files
