just wondering if it's possible to change/add to the wizard ie i'd like to add a VCD(PAL) category that (a) shows up with CBR of 2000 and time/700 or 800mb. also (b) can i change the default bitrate setting, particularly the motion search precision setting so's i don't need to go in there every time and change it manually?
Probably. Somewhere in TMPG's folder should be project templates, which you'd have to edit or duplicate.
To Make a Template you just do your settings and Click the "Save" Button on the Bottom Right corner and Save it to the "Templates" folder..Now when you start the "Wizard" the template you saved will be in the Wizard....Cheers
thanx - but what i want is for my template to appear on the left hand side of the project wizard page. any clues?
That is what I meant...If you Save your Template into the Templates folder and then start the wizard it will be there on the Left side when you start the wizard, it will be under the Sub Heading of "Other"..I just tried it to make sure and it works fine....Cheers
hmmm -not with my version (2.5plus). all i get in teh wizard window are the same choices : video-cd (with 3 sub-choices), super video-cd (with 3), and dvd (with 4)...bugger...
Well that is the Version I also Have..(I work part time for Pegasus doing Tmpgenc support so I get a update with every new release) and it seems to work No Problem and It has allways been this way with the wizard since the wizard was implemented in Tmpgenc...Are you sure you have done it correctly Because I just tried it again with a Different template and a different name for the template and it worked Now I have 3 useless templates in the Wizard..lol ...Well this is how it is Done and there is No other way to do it...so do it till it works cuz this is the only solution...You can also augment the Wizard Templates to your Own Settings....Cheers
aaaggghhh! let me get this straight just ONE more time. i start tmpengc, which opens the wizard by default. i close the wizard, load a tempalte from the main window, modify it and save as "mytemplate.mcf" in the template folder. i then close (perhaps not necessary) tmpenc, and reopen again. the wizard appears by default again, with no changes and certainly not with mytemplate in the left window. does this mean i'm screwed?!? i've tried it with another version (2.521) with the same results...
Well that is strange cuz that is were you have to save them and it works for me...I don"t know what to say....sory
