Please can anybody help me.....my brought my xbox chipped from canada to ireland.Everything was perfect for6 month then, it wouldn't turn on.After debugging the problem it turned out to be the motherboard.I bought a v1.6 motherboard form Engand thru ebay. After resoldering the smartxx chip still nothing.I am getting evox appearing in the top right hand corner of the screen but then i am getting the number 13 which i persume is the error 13 which i read about.I have tried the evox disk again but nothing. Now i'm just woundering if there is a conflict between the motherboard and orignal hard drive..
    anybody any ideas..

If a motherboard and hdd of an xbox are unmatched you will get that error (EEPROM chip on the Motherboard is different from the existing one on the hdd) causing a conflict. That's why it is said to make sure you have a backup of your EEPROM.bin file. If something happens to yur modded xbox hdd and worst case, it dies, you can't install another hdd because you don't have the EEPROM saved to apply.

Take a look at deezp1's tutorial/faq on error codes for the resolution.
