Hi, this is my first post here. I know this may sound very dumb, but I don't know ANYTHING about computers. I'm a University science student, but if you asked me simple things about a computer, I would not know where to start. Here's my probelm: Right now, I'm using Windows XP, I have a router, Linksys, but instead of using it, I just want to use the internet throgh the Cable modem, and not through the Router. I tried changing the settings but it seems that it doesn't work. Can someone help me changing the settings from using the interent through the network setting using a router, to just using the interent connect without a router, just through the Cable modem.
