Anyone know where I might get an up to date channel list file to suit an Amiko Alien HD8200 for use with UPC in the Swords area of County Dublin? Many thanks in advance Papa
This one is cable - watching one in Dublin City Centre as I type, just need a channel-file for UPC Swords so I can get a friend up-and-running (some bouquets are different in Swords area) Any help appreciated
Have one myself in Ireland with tripe tuner, 2 sat 1 DTT. Never saw a reason to get DVB-C unless I was going to continue with a private cable share I used to use with DM500 (too expensive as opposed to sat). Why not use the enigma side and you can load any channel list same as Dremabox? Loads of those lists about. May be hard to trace a UPC one for Spark. Although no doubt there are some out there. Have you tried sat-station site?
If somebody could provide the channel details (freqs etc) for UPC Swords area it would be a great help
since nagra3 very blank screens,as things are not as blank now but depends on services offered,300euro for box and working for 1 year but only sd in the new age of hd is expensive, but others may say no,its a choice.
I (partially) get your meaning. I say partially, because from where I'm sitting I see 36 HD channels! Still like to get hold of the freqs etc for UPC Swords if anyone can help!
Only idea maybe is to get someone they know near them to go into the normal settings of the box to check out theirs and tell them? By the way I haven't seen settings for cable tuner but surely you can scan blindly?
@markmurphy Get a 24hour test line from elsewhere and see if the glitching/freezing ceases. If it does and it runs smooth change your line provider.
that's interesting, I had one before for a few years and it was brilliant never had any issues, thanks for info, hadn't seen anything anywhere about it being back again,
Been running since February for testing purposes Became "available" in early August - just in time for soccer season (not that I watch soccer!)
cable servers have been running since nagra3 kicked in, ireland and england , but why bother when sky has more tv choice, and like sat the more you have on cable server you will get freezin like sat.. so its not a new thing,, end of day its a choice you decide, enjoy it while it last
These are the 8200 which are both c/t Works great with Cable and MMDS been testing for a few months now without any problems with the way Sly is going it will be game over very soon Looking at RTE2 SD which is already gone on Satellite Very easy to do a channel list I have already done one for MMDS might take a look at the Cable side soon...........
