You aren't going to find them being cheap, anywhere, but try newegg.com.

Verbatim for +R and +R DL are top notch

     On-line, Taiyo Yuden

thanks for all the help. one last question what software do you find works best for quality wise? right now I use decrypter and dvd shrink and sometimes clone dvd. Is there any other free software out there that works better together? If I keep burning dvd's will my drive end up going bad? I use what my hp pavilion zv6130us came with and i cant find what speeds it writes at any where. hope you can help thanks

Well of course if you use a piece of equipment it will end up 'going bad' .. I suppose that if you want it to last forever, you need to pull it out of your system, wrap it in plastic and stash it in a closet. But the ONLY reason that your DVD burner is of value to you, is that it is able to burn DVDs, RIGHT?

As far as software goes .. You're on the right track, you are using several good ones and there isn't need to clutter up your CPU with any others .. yet. Eventually, you'll want to get AnyDVD, but wait until you can find a $10 discount

I suppost that if you want to get really fancy you can set yourself up with the DVDReBuilder thing ..

The made in Japan Sony DVD+R discs are most likely Taiyo Yuden, but some are SonyD11 or D22 coded discs as well as the made in Taiwan

how can you tell which ones they are. I actually got these for $9.00
on sale at target for a 25 pack. a really good deal and I have had no problems at all with them. the price tag said $20.00 but when they rang up they were only 9 so i got a few more packs :)

The way that you tell where they're made is to look at the outer wrapper ... All the Sony discs that I've ever seen at Target have been made in Taiwan and are code Sony D11 .. That's good media if it's Acucore

anydvd at? I really like the software and since its still getting updated id like to get it. unless someone knows of better software for me to spend my money on.
