Yep, it needs more parts. :)

What are the specs? Are you going to add lighting? Does the case have a window?

    What I have:

    -E6300 and Zalman 9500LED cooler
    -P5k-v
    -Corsair 667MHz 4-4-4-12 RAM
    -Thermaltake case
-1 WD IDE hard drive 250GB and 1 very very old 30GB IDE hard drive
    -Two 120mm thermal take fans
    -2 Green led screws
    -1 hard drive cooler w/ 2 fans

    Comming soon to mikes computer:

    -Antec earthwatts PSU 430watts
-320 or 160GB SATA seagate hard drive
    -LG super multi dvd drive
    -XFX 8600GT (or 7600GT)
    -Sound activated cathodes
    -OCZ RAM cooler
    -Floppy drive
    -Media card reader
    -more usb ports

it does not have a window, but the drive covers have so many holes you can see right through the case, so I will be adding cathodes from xoxide.

I remember when I used cold cathodes in the Antec 900, I know that has a window, but the holes in the drive bay covers made for a really cool effect.
Are you aiming for decent cooling or for quietness with that Zalman cooler? The thermaltake fans will mean it won't be quiet, and the earthwatts PSU means you may not fare too well with overclocking. I'm curious...

acually the thermaltake fans are very quiet (when the case is closed up), so is the zalman cpu cooler, I am hoping to get a good overclock, and if nessary I will go for the 500watt + antec PSU.

I'll definitely agree with looking the part, quietness is subjective (at full speed I find them loud), but the one thing that bugs me is how incredibly difficult they are to remove dust from.

    Very nice mikeh0303.

A decent psu but be sure to check those specs. Your getting up there in amp useage with all your pieces parts. Be sure to post up some more pics after you get done with it!

well, i have lots more money to spend now, as I just sold an xbox for $150, and I am selling a very simple gigabyte motherboard (775) to someone for $65.

I am still not sure I will be using 3 hard drives and 2 DVD drives, I think it might just be 1 or 2 hard drives, and 1 dvd drive.

I know there is a 430watt antec with 3 12v Rails, would that be better for me? (its 85%eff.)

Well, 430W could still be a bit thin, depending on what the rails are like...

My PC used to be lightning fast at booting, it's just down to how much stuff you install, how many devices you have attached etc.
I tend to find that removing all but the necessities from startup helps a lot. I can still click on the start menu the second it appears and start opening programs. With single cores you had to wait ages after clicking before it'd come up.

I changed the back fan to a quieter one.... and changed the ram. Also I added a cheap 8600GT XXX XFX graphics card

there are also sound activated cathodes.

the power supply is the same... but im going to be upgrading soon because im going to have another hard drive and other dvd drive installed.

Looks much better. I envy the red cold cathodes, the ones I bought turned out more pink than red...

i got them from xoxide.... the only problem has been the sound detector,,, it seems to have a few problems but after moving it around it works much better (i think the air from the fans set it off)

That will certainly cause you problems. Put a fan near a microphone and listen to the output it records - that will certainly be a problem.
