Check sim lock state

I have a Noka 6230i.
How can I check the state of the simlocks?

When you check the lock ststus, you use up a free try to unlock the phone if that is what you need to do.
You only have 3 to 5 free tries.
Just try a good SIM from another Network and see if it works.
If it does not work, come back and ask for a code to unlock.
