you gotta be carefull about this third party software, what version of windows you have, vista or xp on ither one you can schedule a disk check so when you reboot your machine scans your disk and fix any errors, also what is this software you running is it a freeware or shareware? most of this programs that claim to make your pc run better ultimately endup causing more problems. so do as i explain above. also run a disk defrag. with built in windows defrag. and see how it goes. worse come to worse if you had this pc for more than a year,. you should back up all your data and reinstall windows, this will give you a fresh start and will clear any malware from your computer.

    First,
Make sure the software is licensed to be used on ur machine by Microsoft.

The basic disk deframentation software that comes with windows is the only thing you are ever going to need.

    Uninstall the software.
    Run the normal disk defrag
    go to start/run/cmd
    type in chkdsk /r
    and then type in Y
    and press enter.
Restart your pc, and let the scan go.
When its done, reinstall the software. If the error pops up again, go to start/run/event.msc

on your left go to application

there will be a few x's next to some words, double click on those and post some of those error codes on this website.

I fix computers for a living, and am willing to help/
