Hey - I just got a DS Lite and was wondering what the best card to get would be. From what I understand the R4 and M3 are the most tried and tested and reliable but they dont accept SDHC cards. Just was wondering what the best card would be and if possible where the best and most reliable source to get them would be. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
A lot of cards don't accept SDHC but this really isn't a issue because most ds games are small Enough that a 2 gig stick works just fine or if you want to go extreme you can purchase from datel's ds section there max media drive there are patches now that allow certain cards to read the device from the gba slot and run ds and gba and gb data from. It just depends on what you are going to do with it.
Thanks for the reply, Im not too sure to be honest...i would like to utilize mainly for games and movies or tv shows and occasionally mp3's and maybe text files. I realize that you can just swap out games and such but approximately how large would a full length movie be? 700mb? So it would be able to hold about a movie and 25-30 games? Just as a side note, this may be stupid but I couldnt find an answer to it. The games saved files can be saved on the SD card as well. Really appreciate all the help.
saves get saved on the SD, you would need convert the movie to .dpg to play it.. no it won't be 700mb when you convert to .dpg the quality is reduced and size. quick links http://www.r4ds-forums.com/rf/convert-dvd-to-dpg-using-super-+-tutorials-t38.html
if you wants movies and mp3, get a sdhc flash cart such as Acekard 2 , acekard rpg, edge ds, dstt, supercard ds one, etc etc. goto www.gbatemp.net for reviews. they can support over 2GB microSD. higher the capacity, the more it cost though. 2GB will hold about 30 games.
