Might be a stupid question but every time I play back a movie with an X-vid codec in Windows media player i get choppy playback and my entire screen flickers. I found that if you change the video accleration down it works ok but then I lose the full screen controls and have to reset it when i watch other divx movies. Any help would be appreciated.

Try decoding your movie with the newest release of FFDshow. Make sure to get the alpha version since it has a problem decoding divx 5.03 content. Here's a link:

Could it be a lack of system resources also? WMP isnt quite the most resource friendly app available

    1. What full screen controls? WMP's controls?
    2. What player do you use to watch Divx movies? Why would you have to reset them?
    3. Do you have the latest video card drivers or are u using Windows video drivers?

He said windows media player and he looses it when he changes the video acceleration down, which kinda makes sense. Probably just a piece of sh** codec to begin with lol!
