Please bear with me as I am a beginner am using DV2SVCD with Cinema Craft, everything is fine the VFAPI window comes up and does the work than cinema Craft starts the Transcoding procedure and thats when it stops in fact it crashes.I have noticed in GSpot in video codecs the VFAPI Reader codec is highlighted in pink and am getting this message
VFW VIFP VFAPI Reader Codec 1.05 Unknown VFW Driver file missing
I am presuming that this is why Cinema Craft is stalling, have installed the VFAPI codec over and over again but it is no good.
Am I right in assuming this is why CCraft is not working properly? If so how do I install this VFAPI codec correctly ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks.

Well you should Scrap useing DVD2SVCD and the VFAPI Converter/Codec and use AVIsynth or Virtual Dub to Frameserve to CCE...Not knowing what your Source file is(Vob/Mpeg2 or AVI) so can can"t really explain how to use it but if you want to explain what your Souce files are then I can explain the easiest way to encode them useing AVISynth or Virtual Dub and CCE to encode them....Cheers

Thanks for answering, the file is a DivX movie.
Have also tried Canopus Procoder but does not seem to like DivX files, shame as it seems pretty straight forward to use.To be honest this encoding business is a headache as have not been able to encode a full movie without problems on one of the split files, its either sound out of sync or the picture going all blocky.Complicated business this, think I shall stick to playing games :)
