Cingular USA is issuing new 3G SIM chips. When I tried to install the chip and energize my Nokia 6230b phone, you guessed it, “Phone restricted”. 6230b Cingular USA, IMEI: 355032/00/050920/2 Type: RH-28. Any unlocking code help would be greatly appreciated!! Does anyone out there have the decoder ring for generating the unlock codes?? Is there an algorithm or macro available?? BTW, the same 3G SIM that creates the “Phone restricted” condition on the 6230b works just fine in my 3120b Type: RH-50. Go figure!! Thanks for you time, A-Lo
I have the same problem as aaron7777 with the same model (Nokia 6230b). I contacted Nokia and they told me that this model doesn not support the new 3G cards. Im not sure if this is true or not. Aaron7777 - Did you try the lock codes? The problem is the lock only comes up with the sim card in the phone, right? Please share what you are doing to resolve!
