   i need to clean my dvd-rom. is it alright if i use a cd-rom cleaner, on a dvd-rom?

   They are the same. Also the lens cleaners. If the cleaner doesn't do it, wash the dvd in warm water using a tiny drop of liquid dish detergent, rinse and dry with soft cotton from the center towards the outside.
