Hey, Ive done nortons scan, Firewall is working, Adaware scan, and still nothing. but I am hearing clicking going on in the background every 1/2 minute or so (sounds like when you click on links in IE) Ive tried shutting down almost everything that is running and I still get it. my programs seem to all freeze now too after about 1hour or 2 of use, where I have to restart the comp. just to use them again(and it is all my programs). Run HijackThis and put a check by the following entries, close all open windows and browsers and click 'Fix Checked'

    O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {e2e2dd38-d088-4134-82b7-f2ba38496583} - %windir%\Network Diagnostic\xpnetdiag.exe (file missing)

    O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: @xpsp3res.dll,-20001 - {e2e2dd38-d088-4134-82b7-f2ba38496583} - %windir%\Network Diagnostic\xpnetdiag.exe (file missing)

Go to 'add/remove programs' and uninstall all versions of 'Java'.Then go HERE and install the newest version.

Purge the restore folder by doing the following. Go to Control Panel/ System/System Restore and check the box Turn off system restore on all drives click apply and okay.Reboot your computer and then enable system restore again and create a New Restore Point by going to Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.

That may get your system running smooth again. Now the sound that you were talking about, I'm not 100% sure. That happens occasionally on my machine. I noticed that you have delta drivers. Sometimes after using the device I start to hear that noise. I just do a system restart and it goes away.

Now you mentioned your computer being slow. I read that Dantz Development Corporation for backing up your system causes a lot of lag. But if this software is not new then I may be wrong. Do the initial cleaning that I mentioned and let me know if it helped the situation or not.
