Purchased Clone and AnyDvd after shrink slowed to snails pace. Slysoft emailed to my webmail addy, an invoice and key verification which provided both direct download links and attachments. I saved them both ways just to be sure.
When I open files on hd and in the email, I do not get any serial numbers as mentioned in other post. Upon opening the file on email and on hd, the following comes up improvised of course:
    "C\doc..settings\Anydvd Clone DVD\Key CloneDVD.clonedvd
    ok! Plese restart Clone DVD."
I have been able to back up movies so it is working...but how do I recognize the key..so I can back up to usb port?

just save the original email from Slysoft.com!~ this is your proof that you bought the products! as long as you have that Slysoft will honor your updates for life! you can always update and that's that! the key is kept by slysoft and your computer will be recognized as a paying customer by them. So you don't save the key.... if that's what you are trying to do.

    mm1234,

I saved the registration key files to my USB flashdrive. Slysoft does recommend making a safety backup of these files. Better safe than sorry. Moving the mouse cursor over the actual files they are 303 bytes for CloneDvd and 293 bytes for AnyDvd.

Also, your Registration serial number/name is in the information tab in AnyDVD. (Right click Anydvd icon/settings/information). In CloneDVD the information is in the "about" tab (bottom left) on the first page of the program.

After forwarding web mail to personal email, I was able to to download keys to hd and flashdrive. After reading the post here, I was able to recognize the keys as actual serial numbers and that helped in knowing what I was dealing with. Thanks for you help folks.
