Hi, I've been using DVD Shrink to make copies of my DVDs quite nicely either complete disc or just the movie. Now I want to make copies of DVDs with some of the extras (so not a full back up) and the menu preserved so I got a trial version of Clone DVD. I found the program easy to use but I can't see if I can set custom compression rates like in DVD Shrink. When I make a full back up of the DVDs using DVD Shrink, I usually compress the menus and extras more than the main movie so the movie is better quality. What I'd like to do using Clone DVD (or other similiar programs if there are better ones) is to compress the menu and the extras that I choose to keep to the maximum so the movie is as uncompressed as possible. Can I do that? If so how? Thanks for reading this.
the new clone dvd 2 promises to do this, so if you like the prog. u could just wait for it. u can get a sneak peak preview beta trial version from elby website. I thought u could preserve the menu in shrink even if you weren't copying the whole disk in the new version anyway, could be wrong though!!
Nah - with DVD Shrink, if you want to preserve the menu, you got to copy the complete disc. Sometimes I like to keep some extras (mostly music videos) but the menus intact which is why I tried out Clone DVD. So what is Clone DVD 2 avilable as a final released version?
check the elby site for latest details, but I think they are releasing the stable version of cloneDVD 2 sometime just before Cebit 2004.
Cebit 2004? And Cebit is... (sorry for sounding stupid but I don't understand, spring, summer, autumn, winter I can do)?
cebit is a big tech tradeshow, and i'm guessing there talking bout the one in germnay which starts on March the 18Th, so shouldn't be too long.
