when I burn with clone dvd it hit's 100% and then sits there and the drive is locked and the only way to access it is to reboot, the burn does work but it why is it not finishing?
This one is a bit tricky. What is your computers memory like?? 2 What kinda configuration do u have setup using CloneDVD?? Does your computer just sit their idle after its done or is it sitting there still thinkin as in is ur hdd light still blinking??
Sorry about the double post. I have 1gb of ram and the computer just sits idle with the progress bar at 100%, I am just using the default settings of clone dvd and burning at 2x
Maybe change the burn speed to 4x and see if that makes a diffrence. Dont worry that is still as safe speed to burn at. I do all my backups at that speed and they turn out fine. If you still get the same problem. Maybe just reinstall the programs.
These are just guesses without being in front of your PC. Check the dvd size setting in Clone. Should be dvd-5 for single layer blanks. Also what brand blank media are you using? Some of the poor quality blanks don't react right if you burn too close to the outer edge. Just a few things to look at. I never have a problem with the Clonedvd/Anydvd combination. Let us know if you need more help. Jerry
I use verbatim dvd-r and the setting in clone dvd is dvd-5, I have tried reinstalling and still have the same problem, I do also have dvd shrink and have no problems with it but I find that clone make a better copy I am open to any other suggestions and thanks for the help everyone
If I can get clone dvd to write the dvd files what would you suggest is the best program to burn them with (since the clone burn freezes), currently I have nero 6
Mate if you read anywhere here CloneDVD is the best combination with AnyDVD also you can not get anything better for your money.
What version are you using?? There was a bug in the 2891 version similar to your problem, but can't remember the exact trouble. Maybe go to the Slysoft or Elby site and see if you can check the history listings of updates. Jerry
I am using version 2.9 and I tried to just write an ISO and I couldn't do it, the go button wouldn't hilight. Do you think that it might be a hardware/software conflict with my burner?
You may want to uninstall your burner in device manager, reboot and let Windows reinstall it just to make sure there isn't a problem with the burner driver. There isn't much else to try. Possibly a bad download of the Clonedvd program also. Jerry
