Hi All, CloneDVDMobile is a great product and easy to use but does anyone know why it doesnt produce mp4 in 320x240 format? i.e. in the iPod format? As you have the menu choice of specifically outputting for iPod I would have thought that this resolution would have been available, or am I being dumb? (e.g. Does it depend on the format of the DVD being converted? Apart from this one query it's an amazing product and really easy to use, I haven't had any audio sync problems others have reported!

If you are converting from a full screen source then 320x 240 is one of your choices, if you are converting from a widescreen source, you get different (widescreen) options (I don't remember what they are off the top of my head).

Thanks for replying. I was right...I was being dumb! As you say, if its widescreen then CDVDMobile is smart enough to calculate that it wont stretch it in the vertical. Howerver, it would be nice to be given the option, take a look at Makayama's iPod media studio, this will let you override and 'stretch' I've yet to see what this looks like on an ipod though, it may look strange!!

Ha, there's no such thing as a "dumb" question!
Yeah that may be a nice option to have but I would assume it would look distorted or just "not right". I will have to check that program out. I used ImToo DVD to iPod Converter before CloneDVD Mobile came out, it was ok but I like Clone much better, the result on the iPod seems to look better and audio sync is better as well. Take care!

Just a heads-up, but you could also sample PQDVD.. it allows you to "crop" your videos using six cropping presets, like so..

And ye, I wouldn't recommend 'stretching' your videos, as it can distort them quite badly.

thanks for that, I guess I wouldn't really want to crop them any smaller. And as you said- they may look strange stretched in the vertical so I'll live with it and try not to download widescreen films!!
